i'm not going to comment on the quality of the work, effects, etc. but i do have
to point out that the "render" that you "found somewhere" is
a part of somebody else's wallpaper, as it appears to me. the vector is quite
distinctively that of sjade1's in her Bleed
wall. extracting it and putting it into your wall violates her terms and conditions and no, it's not
simply a matter of giving credit or not. :/ (a hint that you should do something
about this matter.) be careful with how you obtain your walling resources.
a little error in the title: it should be "tu es tres jolie" (i can't
type the accented e for some reason =/), not "tu est tres jolie". xD;
while "est" and "es" translate into the same thing,
"es" is the proper conjugated form used for "tu". grammar
aside, you did a lovely job of restoring C.C. i wouldn't have even thought to
wall an image like that. :] the reconstructed fingers look odd though -- the gap
between the middle and ring fingers is too pointed and deep; the ring finger and
pinkie are too far apart.
ever since seeing that image of nill (first time as part of a web layout and
second time when i read the manga), i've wanted to wall that scene. (i've been
procrastination it though.) xD you beat me to it and you've done quite a nice
job. just a couple of things though: i don't quite like the darker layer right
next to the highlights of her hair (probably a personal style thing); the
shading layers of her skin seem too grayish; and at the top of where her right
wing is attached to her back, there is this semi-circle that is neither the
color of the wing or skin...looks kinda like the shading color on her arms,
actually.
my nit-picky points aside, i applaud your effort and skill at transforming a
manga image into a colored piece. :]
say, aren't the particles from s-freedom's wings blue? or are those something
else? xD; anyway, the circular perspective with the clouds is a good idea, but i
feel like the concept has not brought to its fullest because the clouds are
kinda plain. it would have been way nicer if they actually had shading and
volume. and if i may be so blunt, i think the strike freedom's shadow ruins the
wall. the gundam is in the sky, right? then why does it have such a defined, large,
and gray shadow? the cluster of birds down in the lower left corner also feels
very random.
it's a nice wall, great colors. :] but why do i get the feeling that there are
two layers of that texture, one being slightly shifted? @_@ (because i'm seeing
duplicates of the minute texture details.) and i notice that the outer edges of
the extracted scan are blurred. that's a blending technique, but keep in mind
that the outlines withing the scan, not along the extracted borders, are still
sharp. ;D for the outlines that are partially blurred and partially sharp, the
transition is a little awkward. one last thing: the sakura petal shadows. their
locations are a tad off; look carefully at the shadows in the scan itself to
determine the angle of the light rays (requires spatial sense). and the shadow
for the rightmost sakura petal is exceptionally dark! o__o anyway, i hope you
don't mind me critiquing your work. xD; please take this positively and i'm sure
you can improve as a waller.
:3 just here to +fav it because it's just so incredibly beautiful and because i
admire -- worship -- your patience with all those layers of shading. @__@ for
full rambling, see my AP comment. and, again, happy new year!
kyah! xD i love the openness of the sky. the grass looks complicated. you are a
great painter saku; i can see you wearing a beret and wielding your paint brush
and palette, with a thick french moustache! oh wait, or is that barukas i'm
seeing? o__O (so where is the spork in this? *looks all around*)
ps. do you plan on becoming a makeup artist/plastic surgeon? lol.
submitting your old stuff, huh? just like me. xD haha. the whitish parts
(created by the texture?) in the sky looks a bit funny but the scene and color
scheme is wonderful. :P but hey...are those buildings on either side of the beam
rifle reflected duplicates of one another? o__o *shrugs* awesomeness
nonetheless. so adding to favies.

still, nice work.
